The Misneach Centre is an award-winning, independently owned counselling, psychotherapy and wellbeing centre in the heart of Main Street, Moate, Co. Westmeath.
Founded by Anita Lynch, Misneach was created with a simple belief: that everyone deserves to feel genuinely welcomed, listened to and cared for when seeking support.
As a privately owned, locally run centre, we take pride in offering a personal approach. From your very first enquiry to helping you find the right therapist, it’s often the little things that make what can feel like a daunting first step that bit easier.
Across three floors, our multidisciplinary team of over 35 professionals supports children, teenagers, adults and couples, with therapy available both in person and online.
We’ve grown considerably since opening our doors, but our values remain the same. We believe that offering a wide choice of qualified professionals should never come at the expense of genuine care and individual attention.
Our centre offers a welcoming reception and waiting area, tea and coffee facilities and toilets, including one on the ground floor. With free parking nearby and a bus stop directly outside our door, we’re conveniently located for people travelling from across the Midlands.
We’re proud to have been recognised for the work we do, but what matters most to us is how people feel when they first reach out and when they walk through our doors.
Misneach means Courage, Courage to push forward through uncertainty.
Sometimes courage is simply reaching the point where you can say, “I think I need to talk to someone.” If that’s where you are today, we’re here to help guide you.
