The Misneach Centre – Therapy Services Agreement

Welcome to The Misneach Centre. Our intention is to provide a safe, professional, and respectful therapeutic environment.

Our services are guided by the Code of Ethics and Practice of the Irish Association of Counselling & Psychotherapy (IACP) and comply with Irish Data Protection legislation.

Confidentiality & Safety

All sessions are private and confidential. Protecting your privacy is central to the therapeutic process.

There are, however, important limits to confidentiality required by law and professional ethics.

Confidentiality may need to be broken where:

There is a risk of serious harm to yourself or another person
• There is a legal obligation relating to child protection

Under the Children First Act 2015, therapists are legally required to report any reasonable concern regarding a child being abused, neglected, or at risk of harm.

Wherever possible, any necessary action will be approached with care and transparency.

Records & Documentation

Therapy notes are brief clinical reflections used by the therapist to support continuity of care and the therapeutic process.

They are not transcripts, legal records, or statements of fact.

For this reason:

Session notes are not released
• Notes are not suitable for legal or evidential use
• A statement of attendance may be provided where appropriate

All records are maintained securely in compliance with GDPR regulations and retained for five years before secure deletion.

Fees & Appointments

The Misneach Centre is a private practice.

Individual therapy sessions: €35 – €70
• Couples therapy sessions: €80 – €120

Sessions are conducted in person or online by appointment only.

Arrival & Parking

Please arrive no more than five minutes before your appointment time.

Street parking is available and free for three hours. Clients may enter through the main entrance.

Reception facilities are available for your comfort.

Complaints & Professional Standards

If concerns arise, we encourage you to discuss them with your therapist or the Clinical Director, Anita Lynch.

All therapists operate under professional ethical codes. Formal complaints procedures are available via relevant governing bodies.

Commitment to Therapy

Therapy is a process that benefits from consistency and time.

We recommend committing to a series of sessions to allow the therapeutic relationship and process to develop meaningfully.
