Myles Doyle

Pre-Accreddited Psychotherapist

Myles works with adults and couples, offering a calm, steady, and confidential space where people can talk openly about what is going on in their lives.

Many people come to therapy feeling under pressure, overwhelmed, or unsure how things reached this point. Others may be getting on with things outwardly, while finding it harder to manage internally.

Myles takes a straightforward and non-judgemental approach, helping clients slow things down, make sense of what is happening, and begin to find more manageable ways forward.

Therapeutic Approach

Myles works from an integrative perspective, drawing on a range of approaches including CBT, existential therapy, and emotion-focused work.

Rather than applying one fixed model, he adapts his therapy to suit the person in front of him.

Myles’s therapy focuses on understanding what is happening now, how patterns may have developed, and how these can begin to shift over time.

Sessions are practical and grounded, helping clients:

  • Make sense of thoughts, emotions, and reactions
  • Reduce overwhelm and regain a sense of control
  • Develop clearer ways of responding in difficult situations
  • Build steadiness in day-to-day life

The pace is collaborative and realistic, with no pressure to move faster than feels manageable.

Areas of Support

Myles works with adults and couples experiencing a range of concerns, including:

  • Anxiety, stress, and ongoing pressure
  • Low mood and loss of motivation
  • Grief, loss, and unresolved experiences
  • Life and work transitions
  • Relationship difficulties and communication breakdown
  • Sleep difficulties and insomnia
  • Addiction and compulsive behaviours

He works particularly well with individuals facing a range of challenges, from specific difficulties to a more general sense of feeling under pressure or out of balance..

Special Interest – Couples & Relationship Work

Myles has a particular interest in working with couples and relationship dynamics.

This often includes:

  • Repeated arguments or unresolved conflict
  • Communication difficulties or feeling misunderstood
  • Growing distance or disconnection
  • Strain following life changes, pressure, or stress
  • Difficulty repairing after disagreements
  • The impact of affairs or breaches of trust

Myles works with couples by slowing things down and helping both people understand what is the pattern of communication, rather than focusing on blame.

The aim is to support clearer communication, reduce escalation, and help rebuild a sense of steadiness in the relationship.
